A DAY IN THE LIFE OF... BERYL COOK
In this 1982 documentary Plymouth artist Beryl Cook (1926 - 2008) talks about the inspiration behind her paintings, visits a nightclub and a tattoo parlour, and fulfils her ambition of dressing up in leathers to ride in a motorbike and sidecar.
The programme also includes a critical assessment of her work. The DVD also features news film of Beryl Cook's first exhibition, held at Plymouth Arts Centre in 1975, an interview with Beryl Cook for the magazine programme Westward Diary in 1981 and Beryl Cook's appearance on the arts programme Preview West in 1980.
