Launch of Plymouth's First History Festival

SWFTA's Administrator Jennie Constable was nominated by staff to represent the archive for the launch of Plymouth's first-ever 'History Festival'. The launch party was held at Plymouth City Museum and was attended by key partners and contributors. During the evening, guests were introduced to the various events being held all over the City throughout the month of May.

The aim of the festival is to highlight and celebrate Plymouth's unique history and heritage through a series of different events for people of all ages and interests. There are nearly 100 different events across the city which are being hosted by more than 30 different venues.

The programme includes exhibitions, displays, talks, guided walks, tours, family-friendly workshops, film, music and special events such as Local Studies Day 2013, Lord Mayor's Day 2013 and Museums at Night 2013.
